I started to collect China cup and saucers quite a few years ago after having tea at Rusty’s grandma’s place. It was insane the variety and amount of beautiful tea cups she had in her dining room cabinet.
Knowing how much I appreciated them I started to get them as gifts from her for birthdays and Christmas. I absolutely was to the moon and back when I got them. I cherished them and I guess it was like a breath of fresh air when and grand daughter-in-law took an interesting and lived what she love.
Fast forward 2023. I have now for a couple years, have been collecting eclectic varieties of fancy scalloped China plates so that I could add them to my tea cups and have tea…..
Well I did it, I wrote up invites and dug out my china cups and my silver tea serve….. I had “tea +sweets” this week, it was amazing.
It was a beautifully small group of ladies and we enjoyed ourselves.
I tried my hand at the little 2 bite sandwiches and desserts. I think it turned out well.
I think what I want to do is try and have tea and sweets 2 times a month… and then a ladies bible study as well.
I really enjoyed preparing and chatting and seeing the beautiful responses on fb when I posted that I was getting ready…
